Anenii Noi is a district centre about 36 km south-east of Chișinău, in the valley of the Bîc River. The R2 Chișinău–Tiraspol highway runs through the town, and buses to the capital depart from the local bus station many times a day.

It has a district hospital, a family doctors’ centre and three lyceums, so there is no need to travel to the capital for everyday services.
