About Buiucani district

Buiucani is a district in the north-west of Chișinău. Its main streets are Calea Ieșilor, Ion Creangă, Alba Iulia and Vasile Lupu. Trolleybuses and buses connect the district with the city centre and the suburbs of Durlești and Trușeni. In addition to urban neighbourhoods, the district includes the cities of Durlești and Vatra, the communes of Trușeni and Ghidighici, and the village of Condrița.

The area is mainly built up with 5-, 9- and 16-storey buildings, along with newer residential complexes. Large green spaces are close to the homes: the Dendrarium, Valea Morilor Park with its namesake lake, and Alunelul Park in the Sculeni neighbourhood. The Moldexpo exhibition centre and Ion Creangă State Pedagogical University are also located here.

Apartments in Buiucani suit families, students and people who often travel to the western suburbs. The inner neighbourhoods are quieter, while the main streets get busy during peak hours. In new-builds, it is worth paying particular attention to access roads and parking.
